Life is all about learning and updating the mini processor in our heads with knowledge. This knowledge can refer to anything and everything, starting from how to sweep or mop a floor to how to write a piece of code that is bug free even when it is tested by the world’s best tester. Let me come to what I really intend to say in this post. I have been seriously passionate about the kitchen world. The food and the processes involved in making. The Culinary art is something that comes from within rather than attaining it through tuition. So this interest of mine paved its way towards the world of cocktails when I got to know about a weekend cocktail workshop. The review of this workshop will be a different post altogether. The two day workshop ended with a cocktail competition for the participants. It was time to keep my ratios accurate and a good sense of blending the ingredients.
The “Gone for a Toss”, My very first cocktail ended up winning the competition. This might be a small event but for me this is a big achievement. Below is the recipe for what I proudly call as “My Cocktail”. Please do try it out and give me a feedback.
Note: All ingredients should be taken in a shaker.

- Squeeze out the juice from 4 lime wedges and drop the wedges in the shaker.
- Add 6-7 mint leaves.
- Muddle all the ingredients.
o To muddle is to combine ingredients in the bottom of a glass using a muddler – a large stick designed for this particular purpose.

Gone for a Toss is ready to be served. It resembles Limca in a martini glass. The first sip should give you the coolness of cucumber and freshness of mint leaves with a tinge of apple and the sourness of lemon.
